Food for Families Hosts Volunteer Appreciation Day 2025, on Thursday, April 24th. It was a full day featuring BossLady Lemonade and the KO Food Truck, as well as games, and lots of gifts for our dedicated volunteers.
Kay Carter, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina was the keynote speaker for the awning ribbon cutting. Board Vice Chair Jeff Mangum, Town of Indian Trail Mayor David Cohn, and former North Carolina State Senator Tommy Tucker, a longtime supporter of Food for Families, also offered their many thanks to those in attendance and emphasized the impact volunteers make in their communities.
This yearly event is a special way Food for Families honors and celebrates the many volunteers and their dedication to helping those in our area facing food insecurity. With their commitment, we keep 'Feeding Families, Changing Lives'.
