Volunteers help with sorting and packing bags for our home deliveries, backpack program, senior bags, and mobile distribution sites.
Each volunteer is required to submit to a driving record check and provide proof of valid insurance and driver’s license.
There is no official training class, however at the beginning of your first shift a member of the Food for Families team with walk you through the process and what your specific job requires. As always, if you have questions during your shift, just ask-we’re so thankful you’re here!
Persons 16-18 can volunteer without an accompanying adult. Young adults aged 12-16 must have an accompanying adult (1 adult for 4 youths).

We can accommodate groups up to 25, however they will be split into smaller groups to do several tasks.

All volunteers MUST wear closed-toes shoes (no sandals or flip flops) for safety reasons. Wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers. The warehouse is climate controlled, however layers work best. Please leave valuables at home or in your car. We do not have a secure place for you to store your important items.
We ask that each volunteer commit to at least 1 hour per visit.
ABSOLUTELY! Regular volunteers are always needed, and regular groups are also welcome. We love having groups that we can depend on to help us continue ‘Feeding Families, Changing Lives.’
